JAYNE THOMAS

DIRECTOR, CRIMINAL DEPARTMENT

Jayne graduated with a Law Degree from Swansea University in 2002. She completed the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University and went on to train with Graham Evans and Partners in Swansea.  She qualified as a Solicitor in September 2006. As a newly qualified solicitor she joined Keppe Rofer the same year and became a Partner in 2009.

Throughout her time at Keppe Rofer, Jayne has been a member of various departments and has gained experience in Criminal, Family, Mental Health and Conveyancing.

Jayne now spends most of her time working in the Criminal department and has a wealth of experience representing clients before the Magistrates Court, Crown Court and in the police station. Jayne is a fully accredited police station representative and is a Duty Solicitor. Jayne also regularly attends the Youth Court. Jayne has represented clients who have been arrested or charged with the whole spectrum of possible criminal offences. She is renowned as a tenacious advocate who always fights for her client’s best interests.

As a result of many years working in the area of Mental Health law and being a member of the Law Society’s Accredited Mental Health Panel in the past, Jayne has a particular expertise in dealing with the most vulnerable members of society.

Jayne is the firms Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
